Factory quotes for a capping machine on your closure set

Capping Machine Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. Share bottle, cap, liner, quantity and destination so factories can quote a capping machine against a stated qualification method rather than a motor or clutch number taken in isolation.

Request Factory Quotes Inline capping station applying closures on filled bottles at a packaging line

Site interface register

Connections to confirm
Interface Buyer input
Electrical Voltage, phase and frequency for the capper drive and controls; connected load in kW once the supplier sizes the motor and cabinet.
Utilities Compressed air demand if chucks or cylinders are pneumatic; cooling water only when the quoted cell includes a heat exchanger or chiller.
Controls PLC interface, interlock with the filler, and stop conditions from the downstream conveyor or accumulation table.

Included and separately quoted

A capping machine RFQ is comparable only after each bidder uses the same split between the base machine, first-contact tooling, and work that stays on the plant side. Nameplate throughput is not an acceptance criterion unless the feedstock, reject definition and measurement delay are written next to it.

Base machine

  • Capper frame, drive and guarding as a standalone cell, without assuming a complete filling line is in the same price.
  • Standard tooling for the first listed cap, liner and neck-finish pair only, unless extra chucks or disks are itemized.

Duty envelope for the first RFQ

Material entering the machine
State filled bottle mass, stiffness, neck finish, cap geometry, liner type, and whether the closure is applied dry or over product splash as on the intended filler.
Required output
State saleable bottles per hour on that sample, including how rejects are counted. Cycle time on an empty chuck is a different number and should sit in a separate column.
Duty cycle
State shifts, washdown chemicals, and how often SKUs change. Changeover time is a quoted procedure plus contact-tool list, not a marketing interval.

Questions that change the quote

What package-specific method qualifies the capper setup rather than its motor torque?
Connections to confirm
Interface Buyer input
Electrical Record whether the supplier will demonstrate on your three-phase supply or on a lab transformer; frequency affects some drive displays.
Utilities If air-operated chucks are offered, list supply pressure at the machine, not at the compressor room.
Controls Ask which signals start capping after fill, and who owns a bottle that arrives without a cap present.

Public machinery notes, including manufacturer discussions of why a motor reading is not the torque felt by the closure, are useful as questions to copy into the RFQ. They are not this site’s test certificate. Ask the bidder to name the instrument, units, and elapsed time after application. Application torque in inch-pounds and removal torque after a rest period are different columns; mixing them hides a mismatch.

Which responsibilities remain with the equipment supplier and the buyer?

The supplier confirms machine feasibility, quoted tooling, and the trial method on samples the buyer ships. The buyer owns package specifications from the bottle and closure vendors, plant utilities, and the decision to accept or reject a quote. Capping Machine Sourcing coordinates comparable replies; we do not sign FAT or SAT.
